INDIAN CONTRACT ACT
"Indian Contract Act 1872 is the main source of law regulating contracts in India".


INTRODUCTION:- 
It is the central government law which is applicable to all business organization for forming various valid contracts. It is a pre-independence Act passed by British Government on 7 September, 1871. It is based on English Common Law which passed a draft for India in 1865 for the business. This law create valid contract with different essentials of the contract. The performance and discharge of the contract is known by business executive with the help of this law. In case of the Breach of Contract, Various legal contract was available to pay the compensation to the affected party. This Indian Contract consists of total 75 Section.
APPLICABILITY OF THE LAW:-
As it is a Central Government Law, this law is applicable to all state of India including Union territories but except Jammu & Kashmir. This law is applicable to all the factory, mines, plantation, ports, oil fields, railways and different industrial establishments. It is applicable to all commercial establishment like Academic Institute, Hotels, Cinemas, Bars, Consultants, Petrol pumps, Shops, etc.
OBJECTIVES OF THE LAW:- 
With the help of this law legal agreement/contract can be prepared in business by the business executive.
● With the help of various essential elements the valid contract are prepared and executed.
● This law creates the legal obligations on both the parties at the contract and they are supposed to honour that.
● For the Breach of Contract the legal remedies are available to pay the compensation to the affected parties.

Chanda Kochhar steps down as CEO of ICICI BANK

There is an undeniable churn in the leadership of India's biggest private sector bank. The first woman to head India's second biggest private sector lender by assets Chanda Kochhar called time on her three decade carrer at ICICI even as a probe continues into alleged irregularities in granting of some loans during her nine-year chief executive tenure. The board said the probe will remain unaffected by Kochhar's exit and certain benefits will be subject to the outcome of the enquiry. ICICI Bank's board accepted Kochhar's plea for early retirement on Thursday, elevating cheif operating officers Sandeep Bakhshi to the CEO role for five years. Apollo Tyres Board to Seek Fresh Approval

Mumbai:- The board of Apollo Tyres will be approaching shareholders for a fresh approval of MD Neeraj Kanwar's compensation, an issue that had irked a section of the investors at the company's last AGM and led them to vote against his reappointment. In a meeting held on Monday, the board backed Kanwar's leadership and decided to discuss afresh the issue of reholders. After that, it will re-nominate Kanwar to be re-appointed as MD, with effect from May 28 next year. "The board has reiterated it's unanimous approval of Neeraj Kanwar's leadership," the company told stock exchanges. "The board will now seek shareholders guidance and independent counsel on a compensation level commensurate with the position. Once this process is complete, it will re-nominate Neeraj Kanwar to be re-appointed."
