What is mean by FMCG:- Fast-Moving Consumer Goods also known as Consumer Packaged Goods(CPG) are the products which are sold quickly and at relatively low cost. FMCG Companies are operating business on a large scale in India through a wide distribution channels. And this products also help to fetch the revenue fast for the companies. It is the 4th largest section in the economy. Awareness amoung people, changing lifestyles lead to key growth in this particular sector. eg:- Milk, Chocolate, Soap, Packaged Foods, Beverages, etc.

HUL is a subsidiary of Unilever, a British Dutch Company. - COLGATE-PALMOLIVE: The Colgate Palmolive Company is an American worldwide consumer products company focuses on production, distribution and provision of households, personal care and health care products. This Company started by William Colgate in 19th century. Colgate Palmolive believes in three corporate values "Caring, Global Teamwork and Continuous Improvement". The company has about 37,700 employees globally and has a sales of $ 3886 million(FY 2017-2018).
- ITC LIMITED: ITC also term as Imperial Tobacco Company was incorporated in August 24, 1910. Later it change to ITC Limited in 1974. It is a multinational FMCG company comprises of Foods, Personal care, Health care, Cigrattes, Stationary products, Hotels, Incense sticks and Match boxes, Agri-Business, Packaging and Information Technology. ITC is one of the world largest sustainable value creator in consumer goods industry in a study by Boston Consulting Group.The Company has about 26,159 employees and has a sales of INR 42757.38 crore.
- NESTLE: Nestle is a swiss transnational food and drink company which was founded by Henri Nestle in 1865 but later it get merged with Anglo-Swiss Milk Company in 1905 and named as Nestle Group. Nestle founder launches his 'FARINE LACTEE' in Vevey, Switzerland. Henri also sell his factory and company to three local businessman in Vevey to expand production and sales. Nestle is the largest food company in the world measured by revenues since 2014. This Company produces Baby foods, Medical foods, Coffee & Tea, Confectionary, Dairy products, Ice-creams, Snacks, Pet foods and Frozen foods. The company has about 3,23,000 employees and has a sales of INR 2,698 crore.
- PARLE AGRO: Parle Agro is an Indian Company founded in 1984 by Chauhan Family which owns Frooti, Appy, LMN, Bailley. Parle is the largest Indian Food and Beverages company. Frooti is the first product of Parle Agro which rolled out in 1984 and it is the largest selling mango drink. In 2013, Parle launched its latest beverages brand-"CAFE CUBA ". It is a carbonated coffee flavoured soft drink. and Frio- a range of delicious flavoured aerated drink. The Company has sales of INR 2,200 crore.
- BRITANNIA INDUSTRIES LIMITED: Britannia Industries Limited is an Indian food products it sells Britannia Tiger, Breads and Diary products throught India. This Company was founded in 1892. Do you know that this company established only with the investment of 265 bucks. Later on this company was acquired by Gupta's brothers. Wadia Group is a parent company of Britannia Ltd. In 1998 and 2001 the company sales grew at 16% annual rate and operating profit reaches to 18%. On 27 October, 2001 Britannia shake hand with Fonterra Co-operative Group of New Zealand. It has a variety of Biscuits Brands such as Tiger, NutriChoice, Milk Bikis, Good Morning, Bourbon, Good day, 50-50 and Little Hearts. The Company has about 3,206 employees and it has a sales of INR 9,464.17 crore.
- MARICO LIMITED: Marico is an Indian FMCG Company offering their services in the area of Health & Beauty Care. Marico was founded by Harsh Mariwal on 2 April, 1990. Marico products includes Parachute, Saffola, Kaya Limited, Hair&Care, Nihar, Revive, Nihar, Medikar, Livon, SetWet, Zatak, Eclipse, X-men, Code10 and many more. Parachute is a flagship brand of Marico which consist of edible Coconut oil. The Company has about 2,402 employeesas on 2016 and has a sales of INR 5,504.77 crore.

- GODREJ GROUP: The Godrej group is a private Indian Conglomerate company which has a headquater in Mumbai, Maharastra. This Company is founded in 1897by Ardeshir Godrej and Pirojsha Burjorji Godrej. It serve the customer worldwide with a wide range of products such as Home Appliances, Consumer Goods, Furniture, Electronics, Construction, Real Estate, Security Solution, Infotech, Agriculture and Aerospace. The Company has about 28,000(2016) employees and has a sales of INR 2,245.57 crore.
- AMUL: Amul or Anand Producers Milk Union Limited is an Indian Dairy Cooperative located in Anand, Gujarat. It was formed in 1948 by Verghese Kurien, and managed by a cooperative body, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd.(GCMMF). Amul is registered to exploit the marginal milk producers by Traders and Agents of only one dairy i.e., Polson Dairy. "Amul means different things to different people: To a Milk Producer....Life enriching experience. To a Consumer...Assurance of having wholesome milk. To a Mother...A reliable source of nourishment for her child. To a Country...Rural Development and Self Reliance". The Amul Model is a three-tiered structure with the dairy cooperative societies at the village level federated under a milk union at the district level and a federation of members unions at the state level. The Company has employees which has divided in two categories 752 employees in marketing and 3.6 million milk producing members and the Amul has a sales of INR 40,000 crore.
